<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The paper treats the media phenomenon of «hurt sentiments»’ in the context of identification of the geographical space of India with confessional values of Hinduism. On the example of the «Ram Setu Movement» and the «Amarnath Agitation» it traces the mechanism of dissemination and implementation of the idea of «the state of hurt», as well as the participation of the federal bodies, leading media and communalist organizations (BJP, VHP, RSS) operating mainly from the Hindi-speaking heartland, in this process. It argues that the aggressive introduction of new symbols of militant Hinduism is of dangerous consequences for the internal and external political stability.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>Индия</kwd><kwd>национализм</kwd><kwd>индуизм</kwd><kwd>хинди-язычный хартленд</kwd><kwd>медиадискурс</kwd><kwd>«оскорбленные чувства»</kwd><kwd>БДП</kwd><kwd>ВХП</kwd><kwd>РСС</kwd><kwd>India</kwd><kwd>nationalism</kwd><kwd>Hinduism</kwd><kwd>Hindi-speaking heartland</kwd><kwd>media discourse</kwd><kwd>«hurt sentiments»</kwd><kwd>BJP</kwd><kwd>VHP</kwd><kwd>RSS</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Глушкова И.П.
