В статье анализируются различные подходы к пониманию и изучению государственной состоятельности, сложившиеся в политической науке. Выявляются различные аспекты государственной состоятельности. Обсуждаются возможности эмпирических сравнительных исследований государственной состоятельности. Показывается связь между этой характеристикой государства и другими аспектами политического развития.

The article focuses on different approaches to study of stateness in political science and the meaning of the concept. Different dimensions of stateness are highlighted. Possibilities of comparative study of individual countries stateness are discussed. The relations between stateness and other properties of states are demonstrated.
