Author Guidelines

The journal "Political Science" publishes materials of the following genres: scientific articles, reviews, abstracts, reviews, translations. Issues of "Political Science" are thematic, so the content of the manuscripts should correspond to the subject of the issues.

Manuscripts are accepted in paper and electronic form in .doc or .rtf format. They should be typed in 14 point size with a line spacing of 1.5. The volume of articles accepted for consideration should be 30-40 thousand characters (including spaces), book reviews - 16-24 thousand characters.

If the manuscript includes graphs or diagrams, the authors must send the original files in .xls, .xlsx formats (in these files, the data of the graphs or diagrams given in the article should be duplicated with the possibility of editing them). It is desirable to create drawings and diagrams in .ppt, .pptx, .png, .jpg formats. Relevant files should also be attached to the manuscript. Drawings, diagrams, graphs, tables and other elements borrowed by the authors must not infringe copyright and must necessarily have links to the original source.

A manuscript submitted for publication must have a list of references indicating the list of references and References (See below for article formatting templates). The list of references is given at the end of the text in alphabetical order without numbering (first Russian sources, then foreign ones) and is drawn up in accordance with the bibliographic design requirements adopted by INION RAS and the rules established by the National Standard of the Russian Federation (GOST R 7.0.5-2008). References to the literature are given in the text in square brackets, indicating the name of the author of the source, year of publication and page. Materials may have subpage text footnotes. Links to sources (laws, statistics, publications in the media, blogs, etc.) are indicated in footnotes.

Manuscripts should be accompanied by annotations in Russian and English of at least 200 words. Authors must indicate their full name and patronymic, their place of work, position and contact information (e-mail).

Manuscripts are reviewed, on the basis of which a decision on publication is made. There is no fee for publishing manuscripts.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The manuscripts are accepted if has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.

  2. The materials should be prepared in a format OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or World Perfect.

  3. Internet links are provided as a complete URL. 

  4. Text should be typed with an interval of one and a half line spacing, font Times New Roman, 14 pt; to highlight the accents it is recommended to use italics rather than underlining (except Internet links). All images, graphics and tables are placed within the text according to the meaning of the particular part of text  (and not at the end of the document).

  5. Text should follow the stylistic and bibliography requirements as stated in  Regulations  located in the Part "About Us." 

  6. Please, remove the authors' names from the title of the article and other parts of the document to ensure the  anonymity of reviewing.

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:

  1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
  2. Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.
  3. Specified when registering the names and addresses will be used solely for technical purposes of a contact with the Author or reviewers (editors) when preparing the article for publication. Private data will not be shared with other individuals and organizations.
