An assessment is made of the influence of the global economic crisis on the trans-boundary regions of the Russian Federation. The method of point-based assessment is suggested, which makes it possible to rank the trans-boundary regions according to the degree of impact of the economic crisis on them. The level of the crisis impact on the trans-boundary region is determined in comparison with the adjacent respect toFederal Districts and contiguous internal regions.
