Российские выборы и электоральное сигнализирование
Аннотация
Данное исследование оценивает качество и уровень демократичности региональных выборов в России, а также степень, в которой они могут быть определены как свободные и честные. В частности, в ней рассматриваются практики электоральной манипуляции на выборах исполнительной и законодательной власти в регионах в 2014-2016 гг. Исследование показывает, что в ответе на вопрос о том, почему популярные авторитарные режимы прибегают к фальсификациям, значительную роль играет посыл «электорального сигнала» оппозиции об отсутствии политического будущего вне правящей партии, а также о бесполезности оспаривания текущего политического режима.
