Studies of stateness: What lessons could be drawn?

Abstract

The article focuses on different approaches to study of stateness in political science and the meaning of the concept. Different dimensions of stateness are highlighted. Possibilities of comparative study of individual countries stateness are discussed. The relations between stateness and other properties of states are demonstrated.
