Аннотация

Известный американский политолог, один из лидеров первого поколения чикагской школы политических исследований Гарольд Ф. Госнелл (1896–1997) в своей статье предлагает обзор использования количественных методов в политических исследованиях в США. Госнелл обсуждает проблему идентификации единицы измерения политических явлений и процессов, а также концептуальные трудности выведения эмпирических закономерностей в политической науке. Он показывает, что движение квантитативного анализа набирает силу и ширится, а его потенциал очень велик. Масштабы применения количественных и статистических методов и эвристическая значимость получаемых данных позволяют говорить о новых горизонтах политического познания.
