The article is dedicated to the problems of conceptualization of world political dynamics and methodological issues of the research of its motive forces. The main attention is paid on the concept of «smart power» as the intellectual reflection of the most important modern trends of world political dynamics.

Geopolitics of the EU and Poland toward Russia are compared in this article. The author tries to understand the reasons of Russophobia and to retrace its influence on present and future EU–Russia and Poland–Russia relations.

The author gives us his point of view on such concepts as «evolutionary morphology» and «evolutionary institutionalism», designed for profounder understanding of the historical process. To achieve this goal he also examines carefully such key notions as «institutionalization» and «memes» as well as morphological conceptions of «homology», «analogy», «gomoyology», «gomodinamy», «gomonomy», «mosaic evolution» and «parallel evolution».

This article deals both with the problems related to the state, statehood and stateness and to the regime changes, democracy and democratization. The latter aspect nowadays has come to foreground of comparative political studies, especially if we are talking about up-to-date political changes and political development.

The author analyzes the evolution of the European Parliament proceeding from the theory of evolutional institutionalism. Hence he emphasizes the key elements of the parliamentary analysis: the development of fundamental idea, niche of EP, institutional and practiced forms. He also examines the phases of parliamentary evolution: the extended phase of parliamentary institutionalization (1952–1962), the failed constitutional project (1953), the organization of parliament seats allocation, Roman Conventions (1957), the stagnation phase (1962–1970) and the phase of fundamental changes (since 1970).

The article is dedicated to the main problems of forecasting state development under the conditions of globalization. The author analyzes the principal trends of world politics 2025–2030 and depicts positive, negative and the inertial scenarios of Russia’s development according to urgent trends. He emphasizes key risks which are crucial to world politics development in the period under review.

In this article F. Braudel`s and I. Wallerstain’s conceptions of the chronopolitics are compared according to the world-systems theory. The heuristic potential of the political temporality for the further development of the contemporary chronopolitical knowledge is at the center of author’s attention.

James N. Rosenau is one of the greatest scholars at the turn the XX century. He made a very important contribution to the world politics studies. Nowadays his theoretical propositions are part and parcel of every textbook. This article gives us the summary of Rosenau’s most important works. It makes it possible to retrace the development of his thoughts throughout his entire career.

The concept of smart power is discussed. The main attention is paid on employment of smart power in contemporary world politics, particularly in the U.S. foreign policy in the light of American competition for world leadership and hegemony with the expanding China, India and the European Union. The author analyses history and current condition of the national strategy of smart power in the USA and other countries. He also examines the grand state strategy as a premise for the formation of global governance, based both on national and supranational efforts.

The author analyzes political aspect of the concept of «sustained development» («SD»). A lot of attention is paid to international political realities of implementing the «SD» strategy. The fundamental ideas of the concept of «SD» are examined, too. The author notes that this concept could be criticized and explores main long-term world order models. He concludes that the key political factor in the long-term implementation of the global «SD» is based on forming of a new system of making and implementing policy decisions at the global level.

The author analyses contemporary global governance according to evolution of forms, methods and ways of regulating global processes in the world. He discusses current issues on this topic and compares «old» and «new» strategies of global governance, tracing a forecast of global governance development.

The author analyzes different approaches to defining the meaning of «stateness» and notes the difficulties caused by it. Hence he offers his own definition of stateness. The main attention is paid to dynamic and static approaches to consistency and to description of state inconsistency.

This article familiarizes with synthesis of various theoretical approaches to the problem of world development. The potential of system analysis of world politics, the concepts of its chaotic transformations, and the hybrid and most heuristic «polistructural» models are examined.

The author of this article proves that the concept «immigration political regime» is appropriate for characteristics current trends in migratory management. It enables to reveal, define and classify modern trends in sphere of legal and political adjustment of migratory processes on different government levels: from international to regional.
